Why the krama Tonle Sap?
The Tonle Sap krama takes its name from its different shades of blue. In Khmer language, Tonle Sap means “great freshwater river” and characterizes a set of lake and river. The abundance of fish feeds a large part of the Cambodian population and serves as a refuge for several species of large, endangered birds.
